Do you want to begin your handstand journey,

but you feel scared, nervous, or maybe just don’t know where to start??

If YES, you’re not alone!
Handstands CAN be scary, but they don’t have to be!
During this workshop series we will create a SAFE, FUN & COMFORTABLE space, where we can grow and learn together.

This 4-week workshop series is designed to teach you…

  • The tools you have at your own disposal to support you on your handstand journey

  • Safe, effective and important techniques for strengthening your handstand practice

  • To cultivate trust and confidence within YOURSELF to practice handstands both away and at the wall on your own

Why 4 classes and not just one workshop?
Simply put, handstands are a skill that require practice, practice, practice.
The more time you spend on your hands, the more comfortable you inevitably become…

Consistency is key.

This series will cover:

  • How to fall (yes, there is a “way” to fall)

  • How to build wrist strength, shoulder and core stability

  • Where to place your hands

  • Where to look(!)

  • Exercises to increase handstand-specific flexibility and mobility

  • Mindfulness (arguably, the most important) because after all, hardstanding can be viewed as its very own meditation practice.

    Each week we will review, building upon what we learned the week prior, learn new things, and apply. No rushing. Taking appropriate time to create confidence and develop skills.

    Through the challenges of playing at balancing on our hands, we can discover a greater understanding of ourselves a lot of times. Remember, through challenges we grow, and through growth, we LIVE!

    This program is specifically designed for beginners.

    In case you didn’t know… EVERYONE can handstand. You just have to have the desire to try! Come with an open mind and a willingness to play. Now let’s have some fun!

ADVANCING YOUR HANDSTAND JOURNEY

A 4-week Handstand Workshop Series

You’ve started playing upside down, now what?

you already know the basics, and you are interested in advancing your new found love
(or maybe not-so-new love)
for handstands,
then this workshop is for you!

Handstands are a skill, and the only way to become skilled in a skill, is to practice… over and over and over again.

This workshop will cover:

  • Press ups

  • Entries

  • Choreography

  • Drills

  • Holds

  • Handstanding on Blocks

  • One-Arm Prep

This workshop will require partner work, so please feel comfortable both spotting and being spotted.
***This workshop is not for beginners.***

Requirements:

  • Participants must be able to hold a handstand at the wall for 60 seconds

  • Participants must be comfortable jumping into a handstand in the middle of the room.
