I began my love affair with yoga in 2006.

I grew up in Washington, DC, went to college at West Virginia University (let’s go Mountaineers!), and moved to the suburbs of NYC shortly after graduating in 2005.

I was working 80hr+ work weeks Promotions & Events Director for a local Westchester radio station and part-time bartender, when a fried noticed that my stress level was pretty high and encouraged me to try yoga. I was enthralled from the beginning.

It was the first time I can remember being able to turn my mind off!

I quickly became a regular student of the practice and would often practice 2x a day to give myself the "me time" I had all-too-often neglected.

I registered for my first 200-hour yoga teacher training. YOGA4EWA in Ewa Beach had been my "yoga home" for a year, and it just felt right. Tasha Kauihou led us through the basics of anatomy, alignment, introductions to Ayurveda, Hawaiian holistic medicine, prenatal yoga, Iyengar & Ashtanga practices, yoga philosophy, and more.

Fast forward to 2014…

I moved to Makaha on the island of Oahu, Hawaii as a leap of faith towards this new yoga career track.

In 2015,

In 2016,

I decided to move back to NY. I like to joke, "NY sucked me back in." (Because it did. Actually, my friends did.)

It was time to begin teaching yoga full time.

As with anything you are passionate about, my craving to learn more about the practice intensified.

I made the commitment to train with Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, Claudine & Honza Lafond, and Mathieu Boldron for a 300-hour certification in Thailand.

I wasn’t done. If anything, after this training, I knew I would be a student of the yoga practice for life.

That same year, I attended Tiffany Cruikshank's Yoga Medicine Myofascial Release Training.

In 2018,

In 2019,

After taking a series of Dylan Werner workshops in NYC, I decided to get my 300HR Advanced Teacher Training from him, as well.

Since then,

I have been working towards my 1000HR Yoga Medicine Certification. Can’t stop, won’t stop!

If you made it this far, I feel like I should reward you with a couple of personal things about me…

‣ I love to laugh. I have been told it is very distinct and contagious. You might even laugh in some of my classes…good!
‣ I am very loyal.
‣ I have potty mouth.
‣ I was a bartender for 18 years.
‣ I drink wine (Riesling in summer, Malbec in winter), and I eat "unhealthy" food.
‣ I am human!

We are all on this journey of life seeking contentment and play! Nothing in excess and everything in moderation!

In my free time you can find me practicing yoga (shocking… I know), traveling, or spending the day at my favorite place, the beach.
