"I just have to be me. I can't be anyone else, unless I am playing dress up."
- Lily Page (friends' 4yr old daughter)

I grew up in Washington, DC and West Virginia. I went to college at West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers!) and moved to the suburbs of NYC shortly after graduating in 2005. I was working 80hr+ work weeks as a bartender at a live music venue and Promotions & Events Director for a local Westchester radio station.

Something you should know about me… I love live music. Like REALLY love… My soul comes alive. I get ideas, I brainstorm.

Nothing better, except maybe moving on the mat.

I digress. My best friend says I have the attention span of a squirrel. Anyway, a friend noticed my stress level was pretty high with my workload and encouraged me to try yoga. I was enthralled from the get go. It was the first time I can remember actually being able to turn my mind OFF!

I quickly became a regular student and would often practice 2x a day to give myself the "me time" I had all-too-often been neglecting.

Fast forward to 2014…

I moved to Makaha (West Side is the best side) on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. I had made the leap of faith on a big move, and now the leap of faith career-wise seemed appropriate.

In 2015,

I registered for my first 200HR YTT. YOGA4EWA in Ewa Beach, HI had been my "yoga home" for a year, and it just felt right. Tasha Kauihou led us through the basics of anatomy, alignment, introductions to Ayurveda, Hawaiian holistic medicine, prenatal yoga, Iyengar & Ashtanga practices, yoga philosophy, and more.

In 2016,

I decided to move back to NY. I like to joke, "NY sucked me back in." Because it did. Actually, my friends did. It was time to begin the yoga hustle. As with anything you are passionate about, my craving to learn more about the practice intensified, and in 2018, I made the commitment to train with Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, Claudine & Honza Lafond, and Mathieu Boldron for a 300HR Certification in Thailand. The "You want it? GO GET IT!" phrase got implanted into my brain. If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

In 2018,

I attended Tiffany Cruikshank's Yoga Medicine Myofascial Release Training.

In 2019,

after taking a series of Dylan Werner workshops in NYC, I decided to get my 300HR Advanced Teacher Training from him, as well.

You are never done learning! Especially if it is something you are passionate about.

In case you can’t tell - I want to learn all the things! And then share all the things with you!

PRESENTLY,

I am enrolled and working towards my 1000HR Yoga Medicine Certification. Can’t stop, won’t stop!

Don’t make a distinction between work and play. Regard everything that you’re doing as play, and don’t regard for one minute that you have to be serious about it.
— Alan Watts

If you made it this far in this bio, I feel like I should reward you with a couple of personal things about me…

  • I love to laugh. I have been told it is very distinct and contagious. You might even laugh in some of my classes…Good!

  • I am loyal.

  • I have potty mouth.

  • I was a bartender for 18 years.

  • I drink wine (Sauvignon Blanc in summer, Malbec in winter), and I eat "unhealthy" food.

  • I am human!

Excuse the "bad yogi" behavior (or don’t 🤷🏽‍♀️)

We are all on this journey of life seeking contentment and play! I will go with the motto of nothing in excess and everything in moderation! In my free time you can me practicing yoga (shocking, I know), enjoying live music, traveling, or spending my day at that beach I was talking about (especially for sunset).
