Join Me in Panama for A Transformative 5-Day Yoga & Handstand Intensive!
With four full days of yoga and an additional day for an island excursion, this intensive is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the yoga practice.
Wake up to the soothing sounds of waves lapping on Panama’s stunning shores and start your day with a strong cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea. Then get moving with a two-hour MIA (Myofascial Integrated Alignment) Master Class, refuel with a fresh and nutritious brunch, and take some time to get grounded and connected with like-minded students. In the afternoon, there will be two hours set aside to practice handstands, concluding with a MIS (Myofascial Integrated Stretching) class to wind down. From there, we’ll head to a delicious dinner with views of the beach and free time.

What’s Included
Daily 2-Hour Master MIA
(Myofascial Integrated Alignment) Class
These classes focus on stimulating and building fascial properties (elasticity, plasticity, glide), strength, and mobility through highly specific poses and movements to create a balance of tension and compression between antagonistic lines and self-balancing lines.
Daily 2-Hour Handstand Training
ALL LEVELS of handstand experience from brand new beginner to more experienced handstanders welcome. Just come willing to play!
Examples of what this includes:
flexibility/mobility/strength conditioning, handstand line training, basic and advanced handstand entries, hollowbacks, press to handstand, and one arm handstands.
Daily MIS
(Myofascial Integrated Stretching) Class
Unwind with Myofascial Integrated Stretching to promote recovery and increase mobility. Think Yin-style cool down and relax class at the end of a long and active day of practice.
Healthy Local Meals, Snacks, and Beverages
3 meals a day, afternoon snacks, plus a glass of house wine, beer, or soda included with each evening meal. Welcome drink on arrival and cocktail on arrival evening. Local coffee, tea, or fruit juice with daily breakfasts.
Santa Catalina Island Experience
One of the days will be spent exploring the crystal blue waters and white sand beaches of Santa Catalina Island. This island experience includes a picnic-style lunch, SUP boarding, swimming, chilling and exploring.
Evening Beach Bonfire
Nothing tops off an intense week of yoga than a beach bonfire under the starlit sky with new friends. Our intensive includes this special experience to make it that much more memorable.
Roundtrip Transport To and From The Airport
The drive to Santa Catalina is 5 hours long but don’t worry, private shuttle service is provided. With all transportation covered, that’s one less thing to stress about. Just pack your bags and we’ll meet you at the airport.
Oceanfront Accommodation For The Entire Intensive
We will be staying at Waluaa Surf and Yoga Retreats. This retreat haven is constructed in a classic Panamanian colonial style with a rustic charm that provides the comfortable vibe you need to stay in tune with nature, kick back and relax.
Access to All Facilities and Equipment
Some highlights include an oceanfront infinity pool, garden-view patio, yoga shala and deck, restaurant social area and bar, and complimentary use of SUP boards, kayaks, bodyboards, bikes, and skateboards.

Is This Intensive For Me?
This intensive is designed for students with a strong, consistent yoga practice looking to immerse and challenge themselves without daily distractions. An opportunity to escape into the practice. Yes, we will be moving a lot, but breaks will be encouraged and given. Just like a regular class with me, nothing is mandatory, only an open mind.
Students are encouraged to work up to holding a handstand against the wall for at least 30 seconds. This training is limited to 14 participants to ensure personal one-on-one development.

Uplevel Your Practice
Worried About The 2HR Master Classes? Or the Handstand Classes? Don’t Be!
If you take my class regularly, you will be more than prepared. I PROMISE! Remember, take a break when you need to. And longer time doesn’t necessarily mean harder, just means we have more time to play!
If you didn’t think your handstands are “good enough” for this training. Don’t worry! That’s why you are coming! To grow more comfortable with the skill. Begin to prepare now, you’ll have no problem during the intensive! Almost all the drills we will do at the intensive are with partners. At every level, there is so much benefit in progressing by working with a spotter.
There are 2 hours of handstand training for 4 days. Again, this time allows for plenty of breaks AND play time! It is a good idea to condition your body a bit for this. 1. Wrist Conditioning
Warm up and strengthen the wrist for more stable handstands.

2. Handstand Entries
Get comfortable jumping! Don’t worry about holds or handstands! Just JUMP!
Tuck Jump from Forward Fold 10x
Straddle Jump from Forward Fold 10x
Single Leg Kicks from Standing Split 10x each leg.
3. Handstand Holds
These can be done with a wall. You are building strength & endurance here.
3 rounds of 10 seconds with a 1 minute break in between each round. Try to build up to 20 second and 30 second holds.

I began my love affair with yoga in 2006. What started out as “me time” quickly turned into an obsession and in 2015, I registered for my first RYT-200 training. From there, I took training after training with teachers like Dylan Werner, Tiffany Cruikshank, Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, David Regelin, and more, developing my own unique voice with a heavy emphasis on myofascial meridians.
